Southern California Gas Company Rebate Program
ENERGY STAR qualified natural gas water heaters Tankless Water Heater Program is for current Southern California customers who are changing from a standard tank-type conventional water heater to a tankless unit. Contact any Hirsch location for qualified models.
Residentials rebate amount:
$200 rebate for models with an Energy Factor of .90 or higher
$150 rebate for models that meet a minimum Energy Factor of .82

Federal Tax Credit
The Federal tax credit allows homeowners who install a tankless water heater to claim 30% of the full purchase and installation price up to a maximum of $1,500. In order to take advantage of the one-time Federal tax credit, homeowners must install a qualifying unit in 2009 or 2010, and claim it on their 2009 or 2010 Federal income tax forms, respectively.
